Is That a Zombie at the Door?
This assignment requires you to gather relevant information from multiple (authoritative) print and digital sources, using advanced searches effectively and synthesize those sources into a coherent, well-written essay. You will develop claim(s) and counterclaims fairly. When you synthesize sources you refer to them to develop your position supplying the most relevant evidence from each.
Introduction:
From the infamous Michael Jackson’s Thriller video to the popularity of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the psychology of humans’ reactions to zombies is fascinating. Horror movies, novels, music and more consume our pop culture but are we truly prepared for a zombie apocalypse?
Assignment:
Read and annotate the sources carefully. Synthesizing at least two sources for support, write an essay in which you discuss the issues which should be most important to consider when making decisions about surviving the coming zombie apocalypse.
We’ll read and annotate the sources and then, I’ll set up a discussion board for you to share your views and hash out some details, and even argue some finer points.
Then as you write your first draft, we’ll review MLA format, and after comments, you will submit your final draft through Turnitin. Specific due dates to be determined along the way.
